With over ten years on the stand-up circuit, John Bishop shot to fame on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow in 2009. Since then the loveable Liverpudlian has become one of the nation’s favourite comedians.
His first DVD, recorded live at the Liverpool Empire, was the fastest-selling debut stand-up DVD ever and his primetime BBC One show, John Bishop’s Britain, has delighted millions.
For Sport Relief 2012, he took on one nightmare week as he cycled, rowed and ran over 290 brutal miles, from Paris to London, in just five days.
There are 250,000 reasons why John put himself through a week of hell. One of them is a little girl called Kadiatu. John met Kadiatu on his recent trip to the slums of Sierra Leone and wants to raise money to pay for enough vaccines to protect 250,000 children in Africa, just like her, against five deadly diseases. It costs just five pounds for a pentavalent vaccine that will protect a child from all five.
Andrew became a cricketing legend when he played a major role in regaining the Ashes from Australia in 2005, a performance that helped him win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. Retired from cricket, Freddie now has a successful media career and children’s charity - the AF Foundation.
Best known for presenting the hugely popular reality show Big Brother, Davina has also presented shows for MTV, ITV and the Brit Awards. She continues to host both Sport Relief and Red Nose Day for BBC One and currently presents The Biggest Loser, Long Lost Family, Million Pound Drop and Got To Dance.
Denise is one the country’s most successful athletes having won gold in the Sydney Olympics, silver in the World Championships in Seville and gold in the European Championships in 1998. She has also been awarded an MBE, OBE and was runner-up in the BBC’s Sports Personality of the year.
Dermot is a hugely successful presenter, DJ and broadcaster. He has fronted some of the biggest shows in the UK, including The X-Factor and Big Brother’s Little Brother. He also hosts The Dermot O’Leary Show on BBC Radio 2.
Frank has kept the nation chuckling for years with shows such as Fantasy Football League and Frank Skinner’s Opinionated. He hosts the Sony Award winning Absolute Radio, Room 101 (BBC One), Frank Skinner’s Opinionated (BBC Two) and has recently returned to London’s West End with Frank Skinner and Friends show.
Robbie is a football pundit and former professional football player. He currently presents 606 on BBC Radio Five Live. Robbie also used his formidable footwork to great effect on series nine of Strictly Come Dancing.
